MOUZ return to the playoffs stage after early bowouts from the Paris Major and IEM Rio.
MOUZ have advanced to the IEM Dallas quarter-finals following a straightforward 2-0 victory over OG in Group A's lower bracket final.
In the playoffs, which will take place in front of a crowd at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center from Friday, Christopher "dexter" Nong and company will face off against the loser of the ENCE-Astralis matchup set to take place later on Wednesday.
OG have been eliminated from the tournament with a respectable top-eight finish. The squad around Nikolaj "niko" Kristensen played the event with Iulian "regali" Harjău standing in for Abdul "degster" Gasanov and with their future unclear, as Shahar "flameZ" Shushan' contract is set to expire and he is exploring other options.
For MOUZ, it is a welcome return to the playoffs stage following their last-place exits at IEM Rio and the BLAST.tv Paris Major Challengers Stage.
In Dallas, the dexter-led side were unable to deal with tournament favorites HEROIC in their first attempt to qualify but then came back with 2-0 wins over FURIA and OG to lock in their spot in the quarter-finals.
MOUZ were very much in control in both series they won. In the latest against OG, Mirage was more closely contested to start, but a key 1v2 from Jon "JDC" de Castro and a win with just pistols helped them get off to a lead in the series, before they secured a straightforward win on Inferno with a superb offense.
